Best conditions for Moringa in Sri Lanka
Our Moringa is cultivated and processed in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is one of the few countries
in which Moringa has its origin and provides optimal climatic conditions. In the areas for cultivation, there
is a dry and hot climate with little rainfall. The soils are sandy and mostly unused for agriculture. The temperatures
in Sri Lanka are also ideal for the cultivation of Moringa as it is never cooler than 20 °C and never hotter than 40 °C.
In addition, there are no industrial areas within 100 km which could pollute the plants with emissions or waste.
The leaves for our Moringa powder come from a community collection. Many small-scale farmers in rural areas have received Moringa trees which we
harvest in fair amounts. This way we can support locals and every individual farmer in the area can benefit from our project.
Trade on equal footing
We would like to treat all trading partners on equal terms. Therefore, we pay attention to the fact that all employees and the producing farmers
are properly paid for. We also want to contribute to the stabilization of the local economy by creating jobs and employing workers under fair and
social conditions. The aim is to contribute to sustainable development projects as well as to promote the development of education and infrastructure in Sri Lanka.
The idea of sustainability is very important to us. We value a sustainable, resource-saving production. Moringa in Sri Lanka grows rapidly and hardly needs any irrigation.
We also do not use any cultivation areas that are already used for local agriculture.
Since Moringa trees bind large amounts of carbon dioxide and thereby produce oxygen, their cultivation is also a useful step against climate change.
When choosing our partners, we make sure that they also take a socially sustainable approach in their corporate philosophy.
We are certified according to DE-OKÖ-012. Since we work with many small farmers, it is difficult to get an organic license for our Premium Moringa. However,
we guarantee that we do not use any pesticides or other harmful substances when cultivating Moringa since it is naturally very resistant to pests. Nevertheless,
we had our product checked for residues. The analysis showed that our Moringa quality complies with the German organic standards.
